Med-Or Foundation, collaboration agreement signed with Lebanon

The Med-Or Foundation has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Republic of Lebanon, in particular with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants of the Lebanese Republic. The agreement was signed at the Foundation’s headquarters in Rome today by the President of Med-Or Marco Minniti and by HE Mira Daher Ambassador of the Lebanese Republic in Italy, representing the national institutions involved. The programmatic points of the Memorandum concern the main sectors in which the Med-Or Foundation is engaged: from the promotion and teaching of the Italian language, to the support for higher education, through the provision of scholarships and professional training courses, in various subjects, at Italian universities. “With this agreement Med-Or is committed to activating some of its projects in the fields of cultural promotion and higher education in Lebanon, which represents for us an important partner in a strategic area such as the Near East – says Marco Minniti, President of the Med-Or Foundation -. These last few years have been very difficult for the Lebanese people, and we realize that our commitment can be a small thing compared to the great needs that exist today. But for us, as for Italy, Lebanon is a fundamental country, whose stability and well-being are fundamental elements for the stability of the entire Middle Eastern region. Our activities will try to weld more and more the positive relations of cooperation and exchange between Italy and Lebanon and also to support the training of young Lebanese, who will then want to put themselves at the service of the rebirth and relaunch of their country. “
