Negative day for European equities, penalized by the rise in US government bond yields: focus in particular on the two-year Treasury, whose yield exceeded 1% for the first time since February 2020. Similar situation for the ten-year which, at 1.845%, shares at levels not seen for exactly two years. In Piazza Affari, where the Ftse Mib showed a -0.74% closing at 27,483.28 points, the performance of Telecom Italia stands out (-3.2%), even today among the worst stocks in the blue chip basket. During the session bearish indications for TIT shares came from a report in which Barclays analysts reduced the target price from 0.35 to 0.27 with a “hold” rating (the stock closed at € 0.4232) A letter also on the trio formed by Prysmian (-2.77%), DiaSorin (-3.31%) and Saipem (-2.7%). The latter moved against the trend compared to a sector which, pushed by + 0.7% of Brent to 87.1 dollars (during the session, prices rose to their highest levels since 2014), saw Eni grow by 0, 44% and Tenaris to score + 2.09%. On the other hand, a perfect parity for Atlantia, which signed a contract with the Siemens Group for the purchase of the company Yunex Traffic, a company that deals with Intelligent Transport Systems and Smart Mobility, for a consideration of 950 million euros.
