Thanks to the support of the Wecity platform for sustainable mobility, Bper Banca has launched the ‘Plant it to pollute!’ Project, a sustainable mobility initiative useful for reducing CO2 emissions into the atmosphere. The three-month project consists of a competition between employees who will travel to the office by bicycle, on foot or by scooter, thus helping to reduce air pollution in our cities. For each trip, the Wecity app will calculate the CO2 saved (1 kg every 7 kilometers traveled approximately) and will create the ranking based on this value. The goal is to reduce the bank’s CO2 emissions by at least 10 tons. The competition will end on August 31st and the names of the winners will be made official at the beginning of September, who will receive bonuses and incentives made available by the company. “We are very proud of this project and of being able to actively contribute to improving quality. of people’s lives – commented Giuseppe Corni, Chief Human Resource Officer of Bper Banca – and we are sure that many colleagues will participate. This idea is part of a vast sustainability program of our Institute. Among the many initiatives implemented in the In recent years, many of them directly involve workers, who have always proved to be particularly sensitive to ecological issues and also understanding in acknowledging any corporate provisions oriented in this direction “.
