The numbers were rising rapidly, massive hotspots were being created, the situation was not improving, so the then Prime Minister and current Minister of Finance Igor Matovič came up with an idea – massive testing will begin in these regions and if the “operation” is successful, the whole Slovakia will experience massive antigen testing.

However, many experts have criticized the idea of ​​full-area antigen testing. The reason was the low reliability of the tests and the fact that the antigen tests could show false negatives. In other words – they did not have to catch a positive person and he passed a negative test. The mathematician Richard Kollár recently returned to the situation a year ago.
