Former Police President Tibor Gašpar may soon appear before the Specialized Criminal Court as a direct subordinate in the organized criminal group of oligarch Norbert Bödör. The investigation into the Purgatory case is almost over and they suspect the direct nominee Robert Kaliňák precisely that he was part of a gang that helped Smeru-SD stay in power, but also profit financially from its own criminal activity.

At the same time, Gašpar remains in custody, nor was he helped by filing a complaint with the Prosecutor General’s Office. News. The office of the nominee We Are Maroš Žilinka’s family rejected his complaint against the accusation, he still sees a reason to prosecute Gašpar and other former top police officers who were to work under Bödör Jr.

The police ex-president was also burdened by a DVD, which they found during a house search. It allegedly contained data on investigated cases from the time of the existence of the Office for the Fight against Corruption, which was the predecessor of the National Criminal Agency. Gaspar claimed that it was an advance. However, the judge who decided on the detention thinks that it is a matter of preserving compromising materials. According to him, there is no objective reason why a police ex-president should keep such data in his own family house even two years after he left the post of police chief.

“It cannot be overlooked that obv. xxxxxxx brought the carrier with such sensitive data home from work and kept it there even after the end of his service in the Police Force. Even if it was necessary to back up some data from his work computer, there was no reasonable explanation for why it was necessary to store this backed up data in the accused’s home environment (in his family home). ” the judge writes in the reasoning of the decision on detention for Gašpar, which is available to Aktuality.
