Inspections of the bodies of the deceased will be under the responsibility of ÚDZS: Doctors will get more! A new digitization system is being prepared – Topky.sk

The Minister of Health Vladimír Lengvarský (OĽANO nominee) announced that a new system of digitization was being prepared, the so-called ePreview. It will make it possible to ensure the sharing of data between authorities.

Initial criticism was unfounded

Bláhová pointed out that expenditures for body inspections have been steadily increasing since 2017. She explained that the annual competition between private companies caused a “price spiral”. In this context, she also stated that the inspections through private companies also had more serious shortcomings. After a new inspection of the bodies, doctors arrange it directly according to the schedules in the individual regions. According to Bláhová, the new system works without problems.

“It turned out that the initial criticism of the new system from the ranks of doctors was unfounded,” she said. The director of the forensic medicine and pathological anatomy section, Michal Palkovič, stated that they currently have “no big downtime” in inspections.

In some regions, interest is higher

According to him, in some regions there is an increased interest in this service, which exceeds the possibilities of voluntary schedules. “Doctors continue to perform examinations professionally and on time, but after the new service is provided with significant savings for Slovak taxpayers,” he said.

In the future, the new ePreview project should also help the bereaved in processing the relevant documents. After the new one, institutions will be able to exchange information electronically. Not only ÚDZS, the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic, the National Center for Health Information and the Registry Office should facilitate the work. The performance of the show itself should also speed up.
