The former police president was supposed to bring him from his former job when he was the head of the Anti-Corruption Office. The analysis shows that there were databases of investigated cases on the medium.

According to Gašpar, it was a standard backup of data to which he had access as a director. According to Judge Rastislav Stieranka, who denied Gašpar another request for release from custody in early October, the former police president tended to keep information about other criminal proceedings in the future for another reason – just in case.

“It cannot be overlooked that circumventing xxxxxxx brought a carrier with such sensitive data home from work and kept it there even after the end of his service in the Police Force. Even if it was necessary to back up some data from his work computer, it is not reasonable explanation for the need to keep these backed-up data in the accused’s home environment (in his family home), “ the judge wrote and noted that a much safer place to store backed up data is the headquarters of the Police Force, the portal quotes from the resolution.

The Purgatory case investigation is over

In September, the prosecutor announced that the case should be closed for the anniversary of the Purgatory, ie on 5 November. The investigator should prepare a motion to indict, and if the prosecutor identifies with him, the case will be dealt with by the Specialized Criminal Court.
