BRATISLAVA. Businessman Jozef Brhel accused and detained under this January ‘s police force shares The toll booth will continue to be prosecuted in custody.

The judge for the preparatory proceedings of the Specialized Criminal Court in Pezinok decided on 18 October. TASR was informed about this on Monday by its lawyer Ľudovít Štanglovič.

The judge thus rejected the accused’s request for release from custody. This was the fourth request for release from custody, the lawyer explained. Brhel is currently in escape and collusion.

The decision is not valid, if one of the procedural parties files a complaint, it will be decided by the Supreme Court of the Slovak Republic.

Brhela was detained after his arrival from abroad. As part of the National Criminal Agency’s Mýtnik event, his brother Petr Brhel, ex-head of the financial administration František Imrecze, former head of the IT section of the financial administration Milan Greg and executive of the IT company Allexis Jana Rovčaninová were also accused. His brother Peter Brhel was in custody until April this year.

According to the police, the accusations of all the detainees concerned criminal activities related to machinations in public procurement and corruption. The latest Prosecutor General of the Slovak Republic Maroš Žilinka ruled that the prosecution of the businessman Petr Brhel was unfounded due to the absence of evidence.

The indictment violated the law to the detriment of the accused. Žilinka thus justified the decision to stop the prosecution of the entrepreneur pursuant to section 363 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
