CORONAVÍRUS Measures in the Czech Republic are changing from Monday: Respirators will be mandatory at work almost everywhere – Topky.sk

The exception is people who sit alone in the office. Respirators are also needed at mass events, regardless of the number of participants. The quarantine ordered after contact with an infected person is also reduced. Instead of 14 days as before, it will be possible to leave it after only seven days if a person has a negative PCR test. Due to the rapidly growing number of infections, the government has previously approved several new restrictions. From Monday, the extended obligation to wear respirators will apply. They will have to be worn in the workplace by all people who do not keep a distance of one and a half meters from colleagues.

People will have to re-wear only respirators only (or protective equipment with an efficiency of at least 94 percent). However, the employer will be able to decide on an exemption from the measures in individual cases for particularly demanding professions in a stressful environment. Respirators will also be required at all internal events, regardless of the number of participants. So far, they have been needed where there were more than ten people.

Further changes in the measures will come a week later, on 1 November. Restaurant staff will be required to check guests for proof of infectivity. It won’t have to be right at the entrance, just by the time the guests settle down. The obligation does not apply to taking food with you and also to the dining areas in shopping centers. People can prove infectivity either by a certificate of completed vaccination, proof of overcoming the disease in the last six months or by a negative test. On-site self-test is also possible.

This obligation will not apply to children under 12 years of age; so far, only children under the age of six were exempted, and the elderly had to have a certificate of overcoming the disease or a negative test. Vaccination for children at this age has not yet been approved. From November, the deadlines for the validity of tests that prove infectivity are also shortened. For the PCR method it will be only three days and for antigen tests only one day. From November, preventive tests will also be covered by public health insurance only for adolescents under the age of 18, fully vaccinated and people who have started vaccinations or those who cannot be vaccinated.
