Iran, the largest Iranian warship sinks in the Gulf of Oman

The largest warship in the Iranian Navy sank near the southern port of Jask in the Gulf of Oman near the Strait of Hormuz after a massive fire broke out on board. This was reported by the news agency Isna citing the Iranian Navy, according to which the attempts to save the Kharg ship went on for about twenty hours, but to no avail. The crew was entirely rescued. The Iranian authorities are now investigating the reasons that caused the flames. Kharg had been in service for over 40 years.
