An almost normal return to school this Friday, October 22, the day after an intrusion alert, and on the eve of school holidays. While it is still dark at the time of the opening of the portal of the college of Saint-Pierre d’Irube, students, teachers and staff of the establishment find their way back to classes and offices. There is only the presence of a gendarmerie patrol which comes to recall the events of Thursday, October 21.
In a press release, the Pyrénées-Atlantiques prefecture specifies that “this morning, Friday, October 22, 2021, the Aturri college will be open to welcome students and teaching and administrative staff. A gendarmerie patrol will be present in front of the college ”.
She also indicates that “the specialized staff of National Education and the Departmental Council (child psychiatry) will be present to welcome the children and lead the support groups and possibly direct them to the Medical and Psychological Emergency Unit (CUMP) which will remain mobilized at the Bayonne hospital ”.
If the parents of students do not want their children to come to college today, the absence will not be counted by the management of the establishment.
