Strong winds: Paris placed on orange vigilance by Météo France – actu.fr

The first storm of autumn 2021 arrived in the northwest of the country on Wednesday, October 20 and is moving east. Meteo France placed theIle-de-France and Paris in orange vigilance for the morning of Thursday, October 21, 2021 after a very agitated night where gusts at 153km / h were recorded at the top of the Eiffel Tower. Vigilance was lifted at 10 a.m.

It blew very hard last night between Wednesday 20 and Thursday 21 October 2021. Gusts of 120km / h were notably recorded at Villacoublay (Yvelines). In Nogent-sur-Marne (Val-de-Marne) for example, trees fell on the road, causing traffic closures.

Orange vigilance should be lifted in the morning. The meteorological institute advises all Ile-de-France residents to remain very vigilant in the face of very violent squalls. Faced with the winds, most parks in the territory should be closed at least in the morning.
