Nicaraguan National Police arrest the president of COSEP

(CNN Spanish) – The Nicaraguan National Police reported this Thursday the arrest of Michael Healy and Álvaro Vargas, respectively president and vice president of the Superior Council of Private Enterprise (COSEP).

According to a statement from the PN, the arrests are due to an investigation for alleged “laundering of money, property and assets.”

COSEP, through a statement, rejected the arrest of the chamber president and reiterated that Michael Heyly has precautionary measures from the IACHR.
