WASHINGTON. Former US President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday a plan to launch its own social network called TRUTH Social.

He announced that the beta version for “invited guests” should be launched next month. The AFP agency informed about it.

The platform will be owned by Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), which also intends to launch a prepaid video-on-demand service that will include entertainment programs.

“I created TRUTH Social and TMTG to confront the tyranny of Big Tech. We live in a world where the (Afghan militant movement) has a huge presence on Twitter, but your favorite US president has been silenced. That’s unacceptable. Trump stressed in a statement.

Trump’s accounts on Twitter, Facebook and other social networks were blocked after an attack by his supporters on the congressional headquarters in Washington on January 6.

Critics blamed Trump for inciting the attack with his statuses, violating the rules of online networks. Shortly before the attack, he made unproven allegations of fraud in the presidential election, which he lost.
