Storm Ignatz has already hit Europe. It brought storms and even a tornado. The storm also hit Paris – iMeteo.sk

The so-called storm or storm Ignatz started whipping Europe during the night. The first damage is brought by storm Ignatz to Paris, but it will not be better in other parts of Europe either. An even stronger wind is expected in the Czech Republic.

The Ignatz storm began to cause the first material damage in Europe. Currently, the worst is in northern France, where even gusts of wind are even stronger than originally expected.

In other parts of Europe, the wind is only slowly gaining momentum and is not fully blown until this morning and during the morning. However, Hurricane Ignatz has already managed to bring even a tornado.

Ignatz brought storms and a tornado

The pressure below, which is located above Scandinavia, brings a change of weather to Europe. However, this one, which German meteorologists named Ignatz and is currently the governing body over Europe, does not bring the most dangerous weather to Europe.

The damage is caused by a weak pressure, which deepened over the English Channel and was named Hendrik II. This is due to the fact that the pressure gradient over Europe will be even more pronounced, which causes a very strong wind.

This pressure lower already causes the first complications. During the evening and even at night, it brought storms to England, France, the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Lightning detection has recorded more than 50,000 lightning bolts.

However, in addition to lightning, there was even a tornado. It appeared on the Dutch-German border, near the town of Heerenberg. However, current reports do not report that the tornado caused significant material damage.

The storm hit France and Paris

A strong wind began to plague almost all of France during the night. The strongest gusts of wind were recorded in Brittany. At Station Pointe du Raz measured a wind gust of up to 133 km / hwhich is already a shock to the power of the hurricane. At Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, they measured an impact of up to 107 km / h. Veterno is also in the center of Paris, where gusts of wind reach a speed of 90 km / h.

At the moment, a strong wind is beginning to move from France over other European countries, and the wind is beginning to intensify in Germany as well.

During the morning, the wind will blow in the Czech Republic and the expected gusts of wind will be even stronger than originally expected. Wind gusts, including Prague, can exceed speeds of up to 100 km / h.

The wind will be weaker in Slovakia

The storm will also affect our territory, but as we have already informed, it will mainly affect mountain areas and the west of the territory.

Among the lower positions, the wind is waiting to blow in the morning area of ​​the Danubian Lowland, and during the afternoon it blows mainly in Záhorie and around Bratislava. More about the development in individual districts of Slovakia you can find HERE.
