Matovič stated that Kollár has a different perspective on several issues, such as national parks, hospitals and justice, but it is not about trading. “I’m used to trading more from another coalition partner. I’m a family used to it, it’s a matter of belief.” Matovič reacted to whether Kollár wanted something in support of reforms. He probably meant another coalition partner to the SaS party with which he is in dispute.

He emphasized that the image of Kollár was being traded, but that he did not. At the moment, however, Matovič will focus on the state budget and the approval of three major reforms (debt brake, expenditure ceiling and debt brake), which also condition the extra half-billion package.

Budaj is ready to negotiate with Kollár

The Minister of the Environment Ján Budaj is ready to discuss the reform of national parks with the Speaker of the Parliament Boris Kollár. He said this before Wednesday’s government meeting. He is convinced that the outcome of the negotiations will be positive. According to Budaj, the meeting was initiated by Kollár, who has not contacted him yet. He understands some of his reservations, others corrects them.

The Minister claims that OĽANO, SaS and Za humans support the reform and are fully behind it. “Sooner or later, national parks will have legal personality and get rid of looters and abusers.” Veronika Remišová believes that the coalition will finally agree on all the reforms that Kollár is currently blocking. Budaja was surprised that Kollár was backed by people connected with ĽSNS. “For years, no one has shown interest in the countryside. Now there can be money from the recovery plan, if this project fails, the recovery plan will stop. It has serious implications.” he said.

The head of the resort is to prepare a memorandum

Budaj also informed about the withdrawal of the proposal. Together with the Minister of Agriculture, Samuel Vlčan, he is to prepare a memorandum, which is to dispel fears about the transfer of state land in national parks under conservationists. “Negotiations will take place. If I do not obtain approval, I will submit it to the government and I will also submit it to the National Council of the Slovak Republic during the entire election period,” advised Budaj. The memorandum wants to be published for next week on Monday (October 25). The proposal should be put to the vote at the current sitting of parliament.
