The Office for the Regulation of Network Industries, which sets price rules for the consumption of electricity, gas or heat, has been flooded with questions from former Slovakia Energy clients in recent days. The main problem was how to ensure that these households and small businesses did not lose their energy supply and save the increased costs as much as possible.

The latest office warned the affected customers that they no longer have to pay the last October invoice to the company.

“Whether the payments have been made or not, Slovakia Energy will deal with them in the final statement in the form of arrears or overpayments on the day the customers enter the last resort supply regime. Slovakia Energy should do so within 4 weeks from the date of receipt of the documents from the relevant distribution system or network operator, ”informs the regulator.

Slovakia Energy also informed that in the event that it does not manage to post the already paid advance payments in the invoice, it will return the money to the clients.

Payments relating to the supply of electricity from 9.10.2021 or the supply of gas from 10.10.2021 to Slovakia Energy clients shall be notified by the relevant new supplier of last resort.

The distribution system or network operator shall notify the supplier of last resort of the date of the start of the delivery of the last resort and shall also provide a list of the relevant offtake points to which the delivery of the last resort will begin.

“Due to the situation and the ongoing negotiations of ÚRSO and DPI suppliers on the unification of the conditions for the application of the DPI price, the supplier of last resort may send customers a breakdown of payments with a slight time lag from the DPI start date. However, you don’t have to worry if your payment details come to you later, the electricity or gas supply will not be interrupted, “the regulator assures people.

On the day of the commencement of the supply of electricity or gas in the mode of last resort, the system or network operator shall determine the consumption at a given offtake point on the basis of a deduction or an estimate (type diagram of offtake). However, to be on the safe side, customers should take a picture of the actual condition of the electricity or gas meter and send it to the supplier of last resort, or to the relevant system or network operator.

In the event of a power or gas interruption, the regulatory authority must be informed at consumer @urso.gov.sk and enter in the report the contract number, the type of commodity to be delivered, the number of the collection point, the address of the collection point and the EIC or POD code so that this collection point can be identified.
