10:10 SLOVAKIA – Yesterday, 1,202 were vaccinated with the first dose of vaccine, in total it has 2,484,406 people in Slovakia.

The second dose of the vaccine was given to 1,688 people yesterday, a total of 2,364,953 people are fully vaccinated.

10:00 SLOVAKIA – PCR tests in Slovakia yesterday revealed 1,797 new cases of coronavirus infection, of these, more than 71 percent were not vaccinated. The laboratories examined 12,160 samples.

The positivity of the PCR samples tested was 14.78 percent.

PCR tests found the most positive in the Prešov (454) and Žilina (432) regions, followed by the Bratislava (250), Košický (180), Banskobystrický (162), Trenčiansky (143), Trnavský (95) and Nitra (81) regions.

In addition, 27,436 antigen tests were performed in Slovakia on Monday, of which up to 903 had a positive result. In total, 2,700 positive tests were added from PCR and antigen tests yesterday.

9:35 SLOVAKIA The Košice self-governing region starts vaccinating the third dose of covid vaccine. The first 1,100 people should receive it on Sunday, October 24, at the Large-Capacity Regional Vaccination Center on Ostrovského Street 1 in Košice. Anna Terezková, a spokeswoman for the chairman of the self-governing region, informed about it.

Depending on the interest of the inhabitants, the county is ready to reserve other dates for vaccination with the third dose and to expand the service to other places in the region.

8:55 SLOVAKIA Agel Skalica University Hospital started the vaccination with the third dose vaccines against the new coronavirus. So far, this only applies to immunocompromised patients.

The Skalica district continues to be included in the first level of vigilance. The conditions of entry and stay in the hospital premises are maintained.
