A spokeswoman for the Ministry of Health (MH) of the Slovak Republic, Zuzana Eliášová, explained that 71 percent of those who tested positive by PCR tests were not vaccinated. “The most positive tests were in the Žilina region, on the contrary, the least in the Nitra region,” she noted. 903 people had a positive antigen test, almost 75 percent were not vaccinated.

The number of hospitalizations exceeded one thousand

The number of patients hospitalized with or suspected of having COVID-19 has exceeded 1,000 – there are exactly 1,056 patients in hospitals, of which only 18 percent are fully vaccinated. The others are either not vaccinated or only the first dose of vaccine in a two-dose schedule. There are 108 patients at JIS, 117 people need the support of artificial lung ventilation.

The number of confirmed victims of pulmonary COVID-19 has increased by ten. The total number of deaths “on covid” is 12,864 and the total number of deaths “with covid” is 2509.

Vaccines do not increase in bulk

Yesterday, 1202 vaccinated with the first dose of the vaccine were added, a total of 2,484,406 people in Slovakia have it. The second dose of the vaccine was given to 1,477 people yesterday, a total of 2,283,850 people have received it in Slovakia.
