Coronavirus in Slovakia: There were XXXX new cases and XX deaths from covid – SME.sk

BRATISLAVA. PCR tests in Slovakia detected 1,941 infected on Friday coronavirus, laboratories tested 11,618 PCR samples.

PCR tests in the Prešov region revealed the most infected, 533 samples were positive. In the Žilina Region, they detected 347 infected people, in the Košice Region 312, in the Banská Bystrica Region 187, in the Bratislava Region 169, in the Nitra Region 145, in the Trenčín Region 126 and in the Trnava Region 122.

Healthcare professionals also performed 20,711 antigen tests, of which 425 were positive.

Another 17 people died of Covid-19. The total number of victims rose to 12,833.

962 patients are hospitalized, 889 people have confirmed the disease. There are one hundred patients at JIS, 107 people need the support of artificial lung ventilation.

The total number vaccinated with the first dose vaccines is 2,479,871, 2,683 more were vaccinated in the previous day. The second dose of the vaccine has already been given to 2,281,468 people, and 3,185 people have been vaccinated in the past day.
