We finally know how much it will cost for the “Nintendo Switch Online + Additional Pack” subscription, which adds access to a catalog of N64 and Megadrive games to the benefits of the basic service. The calculation is simple: a multiplication by 2.

How the price table works

Announced with great fanfare by Nintendo a few weeks ago, during one of these Nintendo Direct online presentations that punctuate the company’s news, the Switch Online subscription formula + Additional Pack (of its very official name) now has its price tag. You will have to pay € 39.99 per year to get access to the selection of Nintendo 64 and Sega Megadrive games it contains, a price that is doubled compared to the basic annual formula (€ 19.99).

If this price may legitimately seem quite prohibitive at first glance, aficionados ofAnimal Crossing: New Horizons, that we know many, however, have a reason to be tempted. The additional pack will indeed include access at no additional cost to the additional content. Happy Home Paradise, which would otherwise have been charged € 24.99.

The advantages of said basic formula are obviously also included in the formula with additional pack. This therefore includes access to online multiplayer play, as well as a catalog of NES and Super NES games. It should be noted, however, that while the basic plan is also offered in monthly or quarterly installments, the premium plan will only be offered in the annual version. Large families still retain the possibility of opting for a family subscription, valid for a maximum of 8 accounts, at the annual price of € 69.99 – again doubled compared to the € 34.99 annual subscription of based.

The availability of the Switch Online + Additional Pack subscription is still expected at the end of October.
