Stromae unveils “Health,” a song “to celebrate those who don’t celebrate” – The HuffPost

MUSIC – “Celebrate those who don’t celebrate”. These lyrics are from the new single by Stromae: Health. The artist, absent for 8 years, signs a committed return with his new song, in homage ”to all the invisible ones, to these discreet heroes who inhabit our daily lives, too rarely thanked ”; he says in his press release.

The title of his new song is reminiscent of the “heroes” of the pandemic, the medical profession and the nursing staff, who every evening during confinement were applauded. But Stromae speaks more broadly of all shadow trades, such as waiters, bakers, fishermen, flight attendants or truck drivers. “In fact my goal is to celebrate those who work when we have a party,” says the artist.

While France is deconfining and rediscovering the days of going out with friends, Stromae invites us to raise our glasses to all those who “don’t celebrate” to pay them homage.

The artist who sold 4 million albums for Square root, and 6.5 billion streaming, signs a single with inspirations reggaeton, latino but always tinged with its electro dough. We find his phrasing and his rythme so characteristic and an overflowing sincerity.

Stromae, who announced his return on stage a few days ago, with his participation next summer at the “Rock en Seine” festival, says he is “delighted to be back”. The clip of Health will be available on Youtube at 6 p.m. this Friday, October 15.
