The Prešov region again has more than 500 infected people per day. Košice is the third worst – Korzár

EASTERN SLOVAKIA. On Thursday, laboratories took 11,518 samples for PCR tests, of which 16.95 percent were positive, representing 1,952 people.

There were also 293 positive antigen tests out of the total number of 16,859 examined samples, which represents 1.74 percent.

Of the positives tested by PCR tests, more than 72 percent were unvaccinated, and of those who detected antigen tests, more than 74 percent.

In the past day, 25 victims of covid-19 were added to the statistics, a total of 12,816.

Situation in the regions

Of the regions, tests revealed the most infected ones again in Prešov (506), slightly less in Žilina (419) and Košice (327).

Less than 200 infected people report Banskobystrický (198), Bratislavský (173), Trnavský (131) and Trenčiansky kraj (103).

Only one hundred new cases were added in the Nitra Region alone (95).

Of the districts, Prešovský took second place with 140 infected people, overtaken by Žilinský with an increase of 161.

In the east, infections also increased in the districts of Košice (85), Michalovce (84), Bardejov (75), Sabinov (75), Košice-okolie (53), Humenné (52), Spišská Nová Ves (45), Svidník (41) , Trebišov (41), Vranov nad Topľou (31), Stará Ľubovňa (26) or Poprad (21).

Less than twenty new cases were recorded in the districts of Levoča (17), Stropkov (16), Rožňava (11), Sobrance (6), Medzilaborce (5), Snina (5), Gelnica (2) and Kežmarok (2).

In the east, there were 833 positive ones.

Vaccination and the condition in hospitals

The number of hospitalized in hospitals increased by 58 last day.

Currently, there are 943 patients with confirmed or suspected covid, of which almost 83 percent are not fully vaccinated. Covid has been confirmed in 881 people.

There are 106 patients in intensive care units, 105 people need artificial lung ventilation. More than three quarters of them are not vaccination.

The first dose vaccines received another 1,465 people, from the beginning of vaccination it is already 2,477,106 people.

1,568 were fully vaccinated, a total of 2,278,170.
