Ford has thoroughly restored the popular Focus. It has a completely new face, the largest display in the class and a 280-horsepower version of the ST – REFRESHER

Just a few weeks ago U.S Ford showed a thoroughly renewed Fiesta and we already have another, perhaps even more important novelty. In 2018, the 4th generation of the famous model was introduced Focus namely, it has just undergone a complete modernization, including the outdoor version of Active and sports ST. The facelift brings a surprisingly large number of innovations, led by a completely new front. Thanks to her, it might even seem like a whole new generation.

However, the opposite is true, Ford only tried to adapt the Focus more to its current design direction and at the same time differentiate the individual equipment levels. After the new one, they differ significantly from each other with a new bumper and the shape of the mask, into which they also moved the logo. Brand new headlights are also completely new, which already have full-LED technology, the Dynamic Pixel LED system is optional.

The shape of the rear group lights does not change, but their internal graphics change. The rear bumper has undergone decent changes, including new body tones and disc designs. The big news is the new generation of Sync 4 infotainment, which has up to a 12.3 “touch center display. According to the manufacturer, it is the largest screen in this class.

Almost all physical controls have disappeared from the center of the dashboard. Most vehicle settings are changed by the driver by touching the display. Digital alarm clocks have changed only minimally, but in color they can be unified with the main theme of infotainment. Finally, the range of offered power units has undergone minor changes, which, in accordance with current trends, is no longer bypassed even by mild-hybrid technology:

1.0 EcoBoost – 74 kW / 100 hp, 6-st. manual
1.0 EcoBoost Hybrid – 92 kW / 125 hp, 6-speed manual / 8-st. Automat
1.0 EcoBoost Hybrid – 114 kW / 155 hp, 6-st. manual / 8-st. Automat
1.5 EcoBlue – 70 kW / 95 hp, 6-st. manual
1.5 EcoBlue – 88 kW / 120 hp, 6-st. manual / 8-st. Automat
2.3 EcoBoost – 206 kW / 280 hp and 420 Nm, 6-st. manual / 7-st. Automat

Surprisingly, the press release does not mention the two-liter diesel engine or the 1.5-liter petrol engine. It is therefore questionable whether this pair of engines will completely disappear from the offer.
