No deaths from Covid-19 have been recorded in the past 24 hours in Israel, for the first time since the start of the fourth wave of the pandemic. The Jerusalem Post underlines this, recalling that in July the deaths were about 1,400, bringing the total deaths to 7,959. The number of deaths is decreasing, along with that of infections. Between mid-August and mid-September, more than twenty people died per day, with a peak of 36 deaths on 7 September. But last week, the highest figure was 14 deaths in 24 hours. At the same time, the number of seriously ill patients has dropped, which today stands at 403, or 60 less than a week ago. Today’s bulletin reports 1,732 new infections, compared to 2,549 last Thursday. Finally, the active cases are 22 thousand, while at the peak of this fourth wave they were more than 80 thousand.
