Nobel Peace Prize 2021 to Maria Ressa and Dmitry Muratov

The 2021 Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to the two journalists Maria Ressa and Dmitry Muratov. This was announced by Berit Reiss-Andersen, president of the Norwegian Nobel Committee. 102 Nobel Peace Prizes have been awarded since 1901. Since then 17 women have received the Nobel Peace Prize, while 25 organizations have been awarded. There has also been a winner in history who refused recognition, the Vietnamese Le Duc Tho, in 1973.
