Africa Challenge App: digital technology at the service of children’s education

For this sixth edition of the “Africa Challenge App”, applications are open until December 8, 2021 * on the dedicated website.

Open to all Africans and young businesses on the continent, this edition rewards digital innovations (websites, applications, etc.) that make it possible to improve educational tools whether intended for teachers or students.

The ten finalists will benefit from personalized support within an incubator in their country of origin. The winner will receive funding for the development of his project.

Through this competition, RFI and France 24 wish to encourage and support innovation, by stimulating and supporting young African companies and developers. Axian, Digital Africa, Orange, AIMS and Emerging Valley, as well as African innovative business incubators are associated with the operation.

The themes of the first five editions were health (2016), girls’ education (2017), sustainable development (2018), urban development and smart cities (2019), and digital technology in the fight against pandemics (2020).

Last year, the competition rewarded Amara Diawara (Guinea), for its “Afriqcare” project, a platform intended for health professionals as well as Malian and Guinean patients, allowing consultation management and appointment setting. you online, with the possibility of having access to a health book and an electronic vaccination record.
