When on October 4 he tweeted a photo of a “scolded” dog of the Japanese Shiba Inu breed posing in a Tesla suitcase, the almost unknown virtual currency of the same name shot upwards. It has gained more than 330 percent since October, and on Thursday morning, one SHIB sold for $ 0.00003119.

According to the Coingecko portal, Shiba Inu became the 12th largest e-currency with a market value of over $ 15.5 billion within a few days. It surpassed bitcoin cash, litecoin or stellar in volume. The cryptocurrency, founded anonymously a year ago by a person who calls himself Ryoshi, is strikingly similar to dogecoin.
