Covid-19: the Scientific Council calls for an exit from the health pass after a period of “preparation” – franceinfo

In its last opinion made public Thursday, October 7, the Scientific Council recommends an exit from the health pass after a period of “preperation”, between November 15 and the end of the year.

This phase of “preperation” will allow “the continuation of the vaccination of the oldest people and at risk (primary vaccination and 3rd dose which must be accelerated) and to better assess the impact of the vaccination on the infection in the medium term”, writes the Scientific Council. This phase “will also allow a better analysis of the impact of climate cooling in the fall”, which could be more conducive to the transmission of the virus.

The relaxation of barrier measures and the delisting of tests, from October 15 for non-vaccinated, are also factors of concern for the Scientific Council, reports France Inter. The return of bronchiolitis to the hospital, the fatigue of caregivers and the management of “non-Covid” pathologies also risk keeping French hospitals under pressure. However, the Scientific Council remains optimistic because it notes an indisputable lull linked to the level of vaccination, judged rather “satisfactory”.

The Council further considers that “the scenarios of departmental or regional variation of lifting the health pass, according to the epidemiological indicators observed, are rather discarded”. According to the Council, the lifting should be global, on the whole of the territory or else limited to certain places considered to be less at risk.
