According to current data, however, the situation with the COVID automaton should be much worse – according to analysts from Data without a pathos, there would also be black districts on the map. And only in the case of 20 districts where the epidemic situation is the worst! What’s more, some districts are said to be twice as high as the black border – this is currently at 250, but the incidence in the two dozen districts in seven days is up to 500.

However, from next week, however, no district will be black. This procedure was especially threatened by the Tatras – in Stará Ľubovňa, Bardejov, Svidník, Stropkov, but also in Kysucie, Orava and around Žilina. “There will be no fundamental restriction on citizens’ rights, no critical bans on movement, mobility and meetings. We rely more on common sense, on understanding the situation, on everyone’s feeling and responsibility. We understand that purple is also an interference with rights and freedoms, but the numbers in the northeast and north of Slovakia are beginning to resemble the maxima and peaks of II. waves in autumn 2020 and spring 2021. As they added, such a solution is, in their opinion, an indication that the competent are trying to find balance and for this reason do not believe that lockdown is the solution in the current situation. They pointed out that a year ago a state of emergency was accepted and people’s lives were significantly reduced, districts were closed and a curfew was introduced. However, this is no longer a threat today.

“There are indications that growth is culminating in the affected districts. We look not at seven-day, but at 14-day (more robust) data. According to us, this will be confirmed within seven to ten days, and Stará Ľubovňa, Bardejov, Svidník and Stropkov, together with Sabinov, will see the top DELTA. This is a region with 250,000 inhabitants, of which 5-7,000 (two to three percent) will have a positive test in the DELTA wave in ten days. And they will start to decline, ” analysts said that in the affected regions a rapid increase in the number of patients can be seen, the total admission to hospitals is at the level of about one hundred patients per day.

And the vast majority of them are unvaccinated – especially in the north of Slovakia, in the Žilina and Prešov regions. “The number of patients in these areas should culminate following the peak number of cases. But it’s the end of October. From the number of detected positive cases and from the number of admitted patients, we can see from national data that eight to ten percent of the number of positive cases (measured by PCR) come to hospitals. We do not know the exact shift-delay, but we do know two facts: hospital admissions occur at the time we report it, and positive tests are reported from yesterday’s “yesterday” evaluation of tests done yesterday and the day before for patients who ordered three to five, maybe up to seven days ago. According to them, about 10 percent of admitted patients die in hospitals. According to them, the number of infected people has grown by almost 30 percent in the last week, but the growth is gradually declining. “We will probably see a daily number of more than 2000 next week, but I will not reach the seven-day average of 2000 from PCR tests until 18 October. Together with AG tests, we are now over 1500 on average over seven days, but we do not know how many AG positive tests are validated via PCR. In any case, the numbers from both types of tests tell us that there have been more than 10,000 positive citizens around us in the last week. We believe they are in isolation. In the second half and at the end of October, there will be 20,000 to 30,000 citizens a week, “ they pointed out that last year ended with 1350 patients who tested positive in hospitals last year, and in their opinion we will exceed this number soon, it will certainly be before the end of October.

Nevertheless, they do not think that we will exceed 2,500 hospitalized patients at peak times. However, according to them, it all depends on the weather. It is now gloomy, rainy and cold. “The death toll is on average 10 in the last seven days and nine in the last 14 days. There are a total of 180 victims in the delta, not all of them die in hospitals. We really do not assume that this number can rise above 3000. Rather, we are based on the above assumptions that it will be one percent of 25,000 hospitalized. And that’s up to eight to ten percent of positive cases (250-300 thousand). Every day we have more robust numbers and better conditions for the DELTA wave in Slovakia, “ the analysts concluded, recalling last year, when they witnessed quarrels and finger-pointing during the previous leadership of the government and the Ministry of Health, but now with the new leadership they are even contributing to forecasts of what awaits us in Slovakia.
