In the United Kingdom, another 40,701 infections from Covid-19 have been reported in the last 24 hours, the highest daily figure since 6 September. This is a slight increase from yesterday’s figure where official government data had confirmed 39,851 cases, according to the Guardian. In addition, 122 deaths were recorded on the last day, down from 143 deaths reported the day before.
