We know it, Daniel craig will return the number 007 at the end of this fifth feature film in the skin of the most famous secret agent in the world. On the eve of the national release of Dying Can Wait, Daniel Craig recounts a scene that particularly marked him in his first James Bond. A few days before the French (and American) release of the aptly named To die can wait, the British actor is on a promotional tour. The opportunity for the international press to question him about his career on the poster of the franchise. If James Bond is a monster of phlegm and courage, it’s much more complicated for Daniel Craig (it is he himself who says it).

Just before the swan song

During a video interview with the American magazine GQ, he explained the challenge of filming Casino Royale for him :

“In Casino Royale, the crane sequence was one of the funniest, but also one of the most complicated to shoot. When I started filming, I was afraid of heights and after that scene … Not so much, I had to climb 20 meters on scaffolding and then I had to run on beams that must have been 15 cm wide … 20 meters from the ground. [Sur le moment], it wasn’t funny, but it was a great challenge. “

“Come on Danny, if you lose you bungee!”

Quickly the actor finds his aura of super-spy by admitting that he knew very well that he was going to be injured on the set, that it was not so serious.

“The stunt team get injured all the time, that’s the game”, he explains, shrugging his shoulders, “I hurt myself a few times too. I broke my ankle on the last one, and the one before I had my leg farted.”

This should probably reassure the candidates for his succession … even if, for the moment, it is not yet topical. Barbara Broccoli, the legendary producer of the saga, insists that the choice of the next 007 is not yet on the agenda.

One last pistol shot for the road?

The film is already showing on British and Swiss screens. Yes the very first sessions have already taken place in France, the national release of To die can wait is scheduled for October 6, 2021, two days before its American release. As a reminder, initially, the film was expected for the month of February 2020.
