Krisztián Forró, the current chairman of the Hungarian Coalition Party (SMK), has become the chairman of the Alliance-Szövetség. László Sólymos, the current chairman of the Most-Híd party, became the chairman of the republican council. Szabolcs Mózes became the party’s vice-president. At the inaugural congress, the members of the three merged three Hungarian parties agreed on Saturday in Šamorín.

The new Alliance-Szövetség party was created by uniting representatives of the SMK, Most-Híd and the Cooperation movement. The Alliance has already been registered by the Ministry of the Interior; according to the Register of Political Parties, it was created by renaming Co-ownership. During September, the parties Most-Híd, SMK and Společatřičnost approved the unification, statutes and other documents necessary for the establishment of the Alliance.

The party considers it an important civic principle. He defends the current orientation of the country, its membership in the European Union (EU) and NATO, while seeing the basic and closest partnership within the V4 and the EU. He argues that he supports a market economy based on the principles of free competition and is in favor of a green social market economy.

In his speech, Forró promised that in the coming period he would do everything to ensure that Hungarians and other nationalities living in Slovakia and the regions inhabited by them had a strong parliamentary representation. He asked the voters and sympathizers of the new party for support and patience.

“This task will not be easy, on the contrary, it will be very difficult. However, not impossible. We will need a lot of patience, hard work and trust for that. Hard work always bears fruit, and I believe that it will not be otherwise in this case either, “he said. The parties are to operate in the form of platforms within the Alliance.

Sólymos, on the other hand, emphasized the need for unity and common action. “We have created an alliance, but in practice it will only work if we are united in even the smallest municipality. National policy is extremely important, but our policies must also find their way to local communities, “he added.

They excluded cooperation with ĽSNS and Smer.
