Seine-Maritime. End of the mask on public roads and gauges in bars and nightclubs – 76actu

The City of Rouen had announced it, it is now acted: the prefect of the Seine-Maritime decided to lift the prefectural decree of July 20, 2021 which imposes the wearing a mask on public roads in certain outdoor areas, in particular markets, near train stations, bus stops and schools.

Easing

This decision, announced Saturday, October 2 by press release and applicable from Monday 4 October, was taken by the prefecture because of the favorable evolution of the health context in the department. As of September 30, 2021, the incidence rate stands at 37.4 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants, or below the first alert threshold of 50 cases.

To these measures are added the lifting gauges for the standing concerts, in the discos and the dancing bars, as well as suspension of the obligation to wear a mask in schools for children between 6 and 11 years old.

Vigilance

The Prefect of Seine-Maritime, however, calls on all residents to “maintain their vigilance and continue to apply barrier measures and gestures on a daily basis, particularly in enclosed spaces where the obligations to wear a mask are maintained”.

And if the health situation were to deteriorate again, the prefect indicated that he “would take the necessary regulatory measures without delay to curb the circulation of the virus”.
