PRAGUE. From Monday, October 4, the return from Slovakia and Luxembourg to the Czech Republic will be more difficult. At the Czech travel traffic light, both countries will move from the orange category to the red one with a high risk of infection coronavirus. Unvaccinated passengers will have to undergo a test when entering Czech territory and go into self-insulation.

The decision was made by the Czech Ministry of Health. The Nova TN.cz television portal informed about it on Friday.

Vice versa Malta or the Portuguese Azores will move to countries with a low risk of infection. Hungary and Liechtenstein were included in the orange category with a medium risk of infection. The dark red category of very high risk of infection will expand to include Estonia.

The traffic light orders that before returning to the Czech Republic from countries with a high risk of infection, ie from the red category, people must fill in an arrival form and at the same time pass an antigen or PCR test before returning if they use public transport when returning. These persons are also obliged to take a PCR test upon their return to the Czech Republic, at the earliest on the fifth day and at the latest on the 14th day after entering the territory of the Czech Republic. Until then, it is necessary to remain in self-insulation.

In the case of travel from “red” countries to the Czech Republic by individual transport, it is not necessary to undergo a test before the start of the journey, but passengers must undergo a PCR test when entering the Czech Republic – first on the fifth day and no later than on day 14. They have to wait for the result in self-isolation.

Testing conditions and self-isolation on return do not apply to people who are at least 14 days after full vaccination or who have survived COVID-19 in the last 180 days. All they have left to do is fill in the arrival form, writes TN.cz.

They will belong to the red category Bulgaria, Belgium, Ireland, Croatia, Cyprus, Norway, Latvia, Luxembourg, Slovakia, Germany, Austria, Romania, Greece, Switzerland.

The same rules apply for returning from countries in the dark red category as for returning from the red category.
