YouTube has commented on the blocking of Igor Bukovsky. He also limited his second account – Živé.sk

• YouTube has confirmed that it has deleted Igor Bukovsky’s channel due to content related to the pandemic.
• It has also restricted his access to a backup account, where he is currently unable to publish new content.
• Bukovský continues to criticize YouTub. He also complains that QR codes in books leading to videos do not work for him now.
• Google has accused of making decisions to the Slovak government.

As the operator of the YouTube video portal, Google has officially commented on the blocking of the channel of the well-known nutritionist Igor Bukovsky. His profile, through which, in addition to health advice at the time, he also alleviated Covid-19 or criticized subsequent vaccination, canceled last Sunday.

As expected, the reason was Bukovsky’s views on the topic of the coronavirus pandemic.

Like other large platforms, YouTube also has stricter rules for Covid-19 and videos on this topic. It thus seeks to prevent the dissemination of views which could pose a threat to public health.

“We apply our policies equally to everyone, no matter who speaks or how the video is created. The mentioned channel was removed from our platform because it violated these rules, “Alžběta Houzarová, Google’s communications manager for the Czech Republic and Slovakia, told Živé.sk.

QR codes in books do not work for him

Igor Bukovský is a strong critic of anti-pandemic measures. Covid-19 has in the past alleviated or openly criticized the obligation to wear a veil. He advocated the controversial antiparasitic drug ivermectin as part of his treatment.

His YouTube channel was blocked after the service deleted three videos in three months.

Dietitian on Monday accused YouTube of censorship and violating the Constitution Slovak Republic. In the meantime, he released the first video on Facebook on Thursday evening, since the video service blocked him. He criticizes YouTube again.

He complains that the service, in its (generic) e-mail justification, according to its exact wording, only “considers” that its videos have violated the rules. YouTube has dealt with Bukovsky’s case repeatedly, and the dietician himself admits that the service did not change its decision even after the appeal.

In addition, he complained that QR codes linking readers to expanding content that had just been published in the form of videos on YouTube did not work in his existing books.

It does not have access to the second channel either

Earlier this week, we announced that Igor Bukovský still has a backup YouTube account. It is called “Dr. Igor Bukovský: Life and the World ”and the number of its customers has doubled since the beginning of the case to about 10,000. However, this is incomparably less compared to the original Bukovsky canal with more than 150,000 customers.

The experience of YouTub users shows that the platform will block other channels from the user if it has previously canceled one. However, they must first know that the account is operated by the same person.

Google did not answer the question of Živé.sk asking whether it would do so in this case. However, Bukovský admits that he has temporarily lost access to the backup account.

He said that shortly after the main account was blocked, YouTube also deleted four videos from his backup account. It contained dozens of videos from the main account. Subsequently, YouTube denied him access to a backup account for one week. Behind this, Bukovský sees “organized groups of people” reporting its content, so with two exceptions, he downloaded all videos from it.

A well-known nutritionist announces that after the restriction expires, at the beginning of next week, he will publish new content on the channel. He also said that he plans to republish the videos on his own video server. The team wants to avoid possible further restrictions.

He compared him to the mafia

Bukovský also again complained about the impossibility of communicating the service’s reservations directly with YouTub in order to prevent further violations of the rules. “This company is hidden better than the mafia,” he said in a video on Facebook.

At the same time, he plotted to connect Google to the Slovak government in an effort to suppress critical views in the field of coronavirus pandemic management.

He did so on the basis of last year’s interview with the head of the Slovak branch of Google Rasť Kulich for Forbes magazine. In it, Kulich said that Google was “open to all partnerships” and that the context indicated that the answer applied to the government and its efforts to improve the digitization of the state.

“If Google Slovakia is open to partnership with the government, will it also be open to providing services for the dissemination of critical opinions?” “It simply came to our notice then. And that shows that Google’s actions in Slovakia all too conspicuously copy the government’s actions and public measures, “he added.

“In my opinion, and based on my experience, this society is becoming co-responsible for establishing new censorship and dictatorship,” Bukovský thinks.
