Slovak forward Martin Chromiak Although he ended up in the Los Angeles Kings training camp on Wednesday, the team rewarded him for a very good performance with a three-year rookie contract worth $ 838,333 at the NHL level. In the lower league, his annual salary will be $ 80,000.

Nineteen-year-old Dubničan shone at the tournament of hope in Glendale, Arizona, and for less than 12 minutes he got a chance in one preparatory match. His next steps will lead to Kingston from the junior OHL, where he will have a chance to play alongside Shane Wright’s expected next year’s draft unit.

Chromiak was drafted in 2020, in which the Kings chose him from a total of 128th place. He could not play in the OHL last season, so he played 32 matches for the extra-league Dukla Trenčín. He scored 19 points in them (7 + 12). He also played two scoreless duels in the overseas AHL.
