Midfielder RICHARD LÁSIK returns to Slovak lawns after more than five years, by the end of the year he subscribed to Pohronia

The agreement is valid until the last day of December this year. “With an option for both parties until the end of the season,” said a 29-year-old native of Bratislava at the beginning of the interview for Sport. He communicated with the management of the club from Žiar nad Hronom for a longer period of time.

“It’s been about a month. Before I had a specific offer from Karviná, I almost signed the contract. They also contacted me from Dunajská Streda. They wanted to see me at the training, but since I agreed in Karviná, I didn’t want to disturb it. If it didn’t work out with DAC in the end, I would be left without a club, “ Lásik explained.

However, a complication occurred. This was the moment they spoke from his engaged country, from Italy, where he had previously worked in Brescia, Avellina and Terama together for more than a decade. “It simply came to our notice then. I called with the assistant coach, everything seemed fine. So I canceled Karviná, but a few days later the president of the Italian club canceled our agreement. So I was left without any involvement. “

Over the past week, however, events have taken a positive turn for him. “I came to Pohronie, I trained with the team for three days. We agreed on the terms and I signed the contract this week. I’m looking forward to being closer to my family. Everything dragged on, which is why I’m glad I’m already clear about the near future, “ said the 184 cm tall midfielder.

AGAINST OLD-FRIENDS?

Richard Lásik last completed a league match at the beginning of May for Teramo on the Palermo pitch in Serie C. Since then, almost five months have passed.

“It’s been a long time, and I haven’t had adequate training with the team during the summer. Still, I think I’m ready to board, although it’s not for 90 minutes yet. This is exactly how I honestly told the representatives of Pohronie. I need one or two weeks to be one hundred percent ready. However, that does not mean that I will not intervene in the game for at least a few minutes even earlier. “

In this respect, the upcoming national team break will certainly come in handy. In front of her, however, Pohronie attends another meeting, which is a great attraction for Richard Lásik. The team of temporary coach Štefan Zaťek will present themselves on the field of the reigning Slovak champion Slovan Bratislava, ie the former Lásikov club.

“It all depends on the coach. It is possible that I will board. It would be nice all the more so that it will be played on the new Brick Field, where I have never performed before. When I was in Slovan, we still played on the old pastures. I’m looking forward to Slovan, there are also a few players from my time in the staff, whether Lukáš Pauschek or Joeri de Kamps. I also know a few members of the implementation team, and I’m happy to see them as well. “

It is unclear at this point whether we will finally see him in Pohronia on Sunday. What is certain, however, is that he has a hard fight to save him with new teammates. Pohronie has gained only five points in the previous nine rounds for the balance of 1 win, 2 draws and 6 losses.

“I am aware that it will be harder here than if I went to Trenčín, Trnava or the mentioned Dunajská Streda. We certainly have a lot of work to do, but on the other hand, I think there are smart boys in the staff. When set up correctly, I believe that Pohronie will be saved in the league, “ he added with determination in his voice.

EIGHT OPERATIONS IN 20 MONTHS

In addition to the successes on the lawn, good health in particular is extremely important for the former captain of the national team. He has suffered more than enough in recent years. While working in Avellina, while running on the courts of the Italian Serie B, in November 2017 he broke his whistle and the needle of his right foot at the same time.

“Despite the fact that I was operated on in a private clinic in Italy, where perhaps all the stars of Serie A go, the doctors did not manage. After a bad operation, they revealed pseudoarthrosis in my leg. Later they had to pick my wedges. I felt it would never end. I was out of twenty months, during which I completed eight operations!

The worst part was that the operations did not follow each other in quick succession, but stretched for virtually twenty months. After each operation, I had to start from scratch, which was extremely mentally beating. “ he offered a look into his thirteenth room, which he would rather forget.

At the same time, he admitted that during the period without football and movement, he had different thoughts. “I was wondering if I still wanted to play, or if I would still be able to play after recovery. Even though I gradually got into training, I still suffered. Even after coming to Terama, I trained for half a year only with the help of painkillers. Fortunately, it stopped overnight.

Although quite late after the last operation, but I found out that after all the procedures I have one leg a few millimeters longer than the other. That is why I had constant muscle problems that did not allow me to maintain continuity of performance in Terama. I was constantly worried, after a month of boarding, I always had to take a few weeks off.

Fortunately, after finding out about the lack of integrity of my legs, they made special insoles for my football boots and the problems disappeared. I knock, but now I feel good. Although, it’s really a miracle that I’m still playing football. I licked myself out of trouble and although I didn’t want to stay in the Italian third league too much, in the end I was positively surprised at what professional level everything worked there. “

Even in the case of Richard Lásik, the rule was that he came out of his eyes, he came out of his mind. Therefore, we were interested in which player is returning to our highest competition?

“With experience, especially with life ones. I went through everything and it was definitely not pleasant. In football, I played almost everything in Italy until I was injured. Now I want to play again so that I feel good about my performances on the field. I believe that the cooperation that we agreed with Pohronie will help both parties.

Me in that I will start playing and the club in that thanks to me he will be saved in the first league. I am not solving anything else at the moment, I am not interested in any more distant future.
