Another tragic accident and a scrap car! Shocking police finding: The identity of the victim was a blow to them – Topky.sk

According to the Nitra Regional Police, the accident happened on the first class road in the cadastre of the village of Zemianska Oľča in the Komárno district.

“The 47-year-old driver of a Chevrolet Kalos car went in the opposite direction for unknown reasons, where he collided with a Volvo truck. The driver of a passenger car was injured at the scene of the accident,” stated.

The circumstances, the degree of fault and the exact cause of this tragedy are the subject of an investigation by the Komárno police. But one thing is for sure. The victim of the accident was a police officer.

“We have received with great sadness the news that our colleague, a police officer from the Border and Alien Police Office in Medveďov, was killed in the accident. We express our sincere condolences to his relatives and direct colleagues from the workplace…,“the police added.

The Minister of the Interior Roman Mikulec (nominee OĽANO) also reacted to the event with grief. “This loss hurts all the more because the accident happened during his journey to a service in which he helped and protected others. I express my sincere condolences to his family, acquaintances and colleagues. Honor his memory.” wrote on facebook.
