“Upon arrival at the scene, it was found that one of the vehicles was stuck under a crashed truck. The intervening firefighters provided the injured with pre-medical first aid, secured the vehicles against fire and prevented leakage of operating fluids.” said Katarína Križanová, spokeswoman for the Fire and Rescue Service.

Unfortunately, three people suffered injuries on the spot. Another six people were injured. “Firefighters from the fire stations in Kolárov and Šala are intervening at the scene,” Križanová said in the morning.

Updated 10:20 However, it turned out later that there were up to four victims. “During rescue and rescue work, firefighters found another person without signs of life in a crashed vehicle trapped under a truck after the accident. The tragic car accident between the villages of Neded and the Youth Village thus, unfortunately, claimed four lives.” said the Fire and Rescue Corps

The police added that the exact cause of the accident, the degree of fault of its participants and the details were the subject of further investigation.
