From 2022, consultations with liberal psychologists will be reimbursed “for the whole population” on medical prescription, announced Emmanuel Macron, Tuesday, September 28 at the end of the Assises of mental health and psychiatry. This measure will be valid from 3 years, “as part of a consultation package that can be renewed if the medical prescription suggests”, he said from the Ministry of Health. The amount of the first consultation will be set at 40 euros, then at 30 euros for the others.

This measure was demanded by professionals in the sector, after several local experiments and the creation of a “psy check” for children in April. After a favorable report from the Court of Auditors and initial contrasting results, the ministry and unions began negotiations a year ago, the point of tension still remaining and still being remuneration.
