Almost a year after Kollar’s accident: A significant shift! The accusation fell – Topky.sk

The accident occurred on 24 October 2020 at the intersection of Mramorová and Svornosti Street in Bratislava’s Podunajské Biskupice. The service limousine in which the Speaker of the Parliament Boris Kollár was driving collided with a personal motor vehicle.

The Speaker of Parliament ended up after the accident in the hospital of St. Michal, later he was transferred to Bratislava’s Kramáre and from there again to the hospital, which belongs to the Ministry of the Interior. He had to undergo a difficult operation on the cervical vertebra and spent several weeks in hospital. He himself said at the time of his hospitalization that the doctors literally snatched him from the shovel’s shovel. With a special neck support, we could then see him in public even after his return to work.

Shortly after the accident, it turned out that he was not alone in the car. In addition to his protection, the former mission Miroslava Fabušová was also carrying it, for which the Speaker of Parliament was sharply criticized. The case aroused even greater passion because at that time, due to the coronavirus pandemic, a strict lockdown and curfew applied in Slovakia.

The case of the President of Parliament’s accident is not closed even after almost a year. However, there has been a significant shift. “In connection with the traffic accident mentioned by you, a charge has been filed for negligent bodily harm. The proceedings are not currently closed, the investigator of the Police Force is taking actions after the indictment has been filed. Further information cannot be provided at this stage,” confirmed for Topky.sk spokesman of the Bratislava regional police Michal Szeiff.
