BRATISLAVA. Ministry of Interior Roman Mikulec (OOL) remains in function. The opposition’s proposal to dismiss him in parliament did not pass. 52 deputies voted in favor of his dismissal.

The motion for appeal was submitted by the opposition Smer, according to which the minister is abusing his powers in the performance of his function and is unable to manage his ministry.

69 out of 136 deputies present expressed support for Mikulc’s vote. Roman Mikulec thus remains in his position.

As the coalition voted

OĽaNO were supported by Mikulca with 48 votes, the members of Pročko, Liba and Kremský were not in the plenary.
FROM SaS 17 deputies voted for Mikulc’s retention in office, Radovan Sloboda and Jana Bittó Cigániková were not present.
From the smallest coalition side For people three out of four deputies voted against the opposition proposal. Miriam Šuteková abstained.
From side We are the Family The only deputy, Martin Borguľa, expressed his support for Minister Mikulec. The others either did not vote or were not present.

Prior to the vote, Mikulec was expressed by coalition partners. President We are family Boris Kollár, who is the biggest coalition critic of the performance of the Minister of the Interior, promised on Thursday that his parliamentary group will not vote for Mikulc’s dismissal.

The meeting on the dismissal of the Minister of the Interior began on Thursday. Although MEPs voted to continue the meeting until the item was fully discussed, it closed just after 7 p.m.

He was the last to speak in the debate Ľuboš Blaha from Direction. After he left the rostrum, the other opposition deputies also left the plenary. After their departure, the chairman of the meeting, Milan Laurenčík (SaS), closed the debate on Mikulcov.
