MOSCOW – Russian footballer Artyom Dzjuba declined an invitation to the national team for the October matches. He explained his decision to coach Valerij Karpin in such a way that he did not have an optimal form and in such a situation he did not want to take someone else’s place. Russia will meet on October 8 in Kazan in the qualifying match of the H-group MS 2022 against Slovakia.

The Russian striker scored two goals for Zenit St. Petersburg in the last league match, who defeated Rubin Kazan 3: 1. After the match, he told the Russian media that he was in good shape, two days later he claimed the opposite.
