A curious case: thousands of contaminated products for children have entered the market. They contain dangerous bacteria – HNonline.sk

Over the past two years, 69 products have been sent to Slovakia, in which inspections revealed the presence of salmonella. In as many as 86 percent of cases, it was meat or a meat product.

According to experts, this assortment is one of the most common sources of infection. However, it is not uncommon for microbes to appear in eggs, fruit or bakery products.

However, once in a while there is a case where salmonella gets into a product in which no one would expect it. One is currently being investigated by the Public Health Office. The inspectors found the dangerous bacterium in Hami’s rice-banana non-dairy porridge.
