The QR code of Emmanuel Macron’s health pass has leaked online – BFMTV

The QR code corresponding to the health pass of the President of the Republic has been circulating online since the evening of September 20. According to the Élysée, an “ethical flaw” is involved.

Since yesterday, several people have been able to obtain the QR code corresponding to the health pass of the President of the Republic, Emmanuel Macron. The Élysée has just confirmed this information with BFMTV. It is also possible to find information about his vaccination, such as the date, or the type of vaccine.

Since September, health professionals have had access to the President’s medical data (and of all vaccinated French people) via the centralization body for vaccine data. This file is opened to make the vaccination process more efficient.

“An ethical flaw”

This system works, but there has been an “ethical flaw” on the part of one or more health professionals. Someone made an impression of the QR code and circulated it voluntarily or by negligence, specifies the Élysée to BFMTV.

This code is being deactivated and can no longer be used. Without going into details, the Élysée informed BFMTV that arrangements had been made. The CNAM seized the National Council of the Order of Physicians to sanction the person (s) who made Emmanuel Macron’s information public.

The QR code of Jean Castex on the blacklist

A few days ago, the QR code of Jean Castex’s sanitary pass had a similar story. The reason was different, however, as CheckNews explains. On a photo published by a press agency, it was possible to see a QR code with “Jean Castex” written below. Using this photo, several people managed to integrate the code into their TousAntiCovid app and then shared it online.

This QR code has since been blacklisted in the app. A message is then displayed, warning of the fraudulent nature of its use.
