Huge tragedy: Former Žilina hockey player Tomáš Prokop († 27) has died – Športky.sk

ČESKÉ BUDĚJOVICE – At the age of 27, the Czech hockey defender Tomáš Prokop tragically died. During his career, he worked mainly in Czech competitions, in the year 2016/2017 he wore the jersey of the extra-league Žilina.

His parent club HC Motor České Budějovice informed about the death on the official website, but did not provide further details.

Prokop was a youth representative of the Czech Republic. He spent his career mainly in the second highest Czech competition, he collected 11 starts in the extra league. In Žilina’s jersey, he had a goal in 47 matches, two assists and 53 penalty minutes. After working in Slovakia, he headed for the second highest competition in France. After a season in the Cergy-Pontoise jersey, he decided in 2018 to end his career.
