Gardeners can also suffer from ground frosts. The warning before them applies to several districts of the Banská Bystrica, Košice, Prešov, Trenčín and Trnava regions. At a height of five centimeters above the surface, the minimum air temperature can reach minus one to minus two degrees Celsius.

“Such low temperatures and ground frosts pose a potential danger to thermophilic plants,” meteorologists warn.
