Kováčik: We follow the announcement of the verdict ONLINE – SME.sk

• The court will rule on the case of the accused former special prosecutor Dušan Kováčik.
• He is accused of the crime of establishing, conspiring and supporting a criminal group, as well as the abuse of power of a public official and the offense of endangering confidentiality.
• Extensive closing speeches by the supervising prosecutor Michal Šúrek and two of Kováčik’s lawyers were heard on Friday.
• The prosecutor demanded a sentence of at least 13 years and forfeiture of property, Kováčik insisted on his innocence.

Kováčik is found guilty on all counts, ie of supporting a criminal group, accepting a bribe and also the continuing crime of abuse of power by a public official in parallel with the offense of endangering classified information.
