Belarus, Air France suspends overflight of the country

After the hijacking of the Ryanair flight, the French airline Air France announced the suspension “until further notice” of the overflight of Belarusian airspace by its aircraft, in line with an EU recommendation that adopted new sanctions against the regime of Alexander Lukashenko. The aircraft that have already taken off will see their flight plan modified”, was announced as a consequence of the hijacking of a Ryanair airliner to Minsk and the consequent arrest of a sheltered dissident in Poland who was traveling aboard the flight.
